MS or Multiple Sclerosis is in the first place a life long chronic disease. Many people have been victims of this disorder. According to some studies, MS is an autoimmune disease triggers the immune system to attack the bodys myelin. Myelin is a fatty protein that acts as an insulating matter for nerves. When this protein becomes damaged, messages from the brain and spinal cord get short-circuited. Inflammation then occurs in various areas of the body, and when this occurs, symptoms worsen and at time, new symptoms develop.
As mentioned earlier, many people suffered form this disease. It was reported that twice as many women as men have multiple sclerosis. There is actually no evidence that MS is directly inherited, but there is considered a predisposition to the illness among the family members.
