There are several advantages of banking in the United States. For some it means convenience while others appreciate the details that a smaller bank has to offer. When banking you now have the option to bank online or at a physical location. If you prefer banking online you have access to your account 24 hours a day 7 days a week. You can transfer money, check your balance, pay your bills online, and purchase online using your account. There is also the customer service that you have access to if you should have any questions regarding your account. The disadvantage to banking online is if you have a check to cash you still need to run out to the bank, place it in the depository and wait 1-2 business days before you can have access to your money.

When you bank at a physical location you get the feeling of banking with friends as everyone treats you like a person and not just an account number. Banking at your local branch can also give you immediate access of your money, as you can cash checks instead of depositing the amount into your account and then waiting a few days for it to go into your account.
