History Is Alive In Idaho

Idaho is a very diverse state when it comes to geography since they feature everything from forests to deserts with sand dunes. Many visitors come to Idaho each year to take part in a number of recreational activities that the state has to offer from everything between skiing to whitewater rafting. However, one aspect of Idaho that many arent aware of is that Idaho also offers excellent historical attractions for the history buffs.

The capital of Idaho is Boise which is in southwestern part of the state. This is an excellent location for recreation with the Bogus Basin Ski Resort. However there are excellent indoor sights and attractions with a historical theme. This includes a small replica of the Capitol in Washington DC which can be found at the Idaho State Capitol. You can take a walk around the Old Boise Historic District which still has many of the original attributes so you can see what the cities history was like in person. Other attractions in this city include the Boise Art Museum, the Idaho Farm and Ranch Museum and the Zoo Boise.
