Thats because Google is a very sophisticated search engine and their algorithm changes constantly. Googles algorithm has one primary goal and that is to deliver relevant content. All of this effort is to identify good websites with quality content and to weed out the sites that are “optimized” to trick the algorithm. Therefore if you have a good website with quality content then optimizing your site may be counter-productive if there’s even a slight chance that Google would think youre using tricks.
