As women, we play out advantages whenever we can. Recovering from a hysterectomy will take some time and TLC, but it really isn’t as bad as the physicians and patients who have had one years ago, would make it seem. Medical practices have improved, and the recovery involves minimal problems.

The recovery time does vary from woman to woman, and from procedure to procedure. An abdominal hysterectomy is a lot like a c-section. After c-sections, women find that they are in some pain and cannot move about like they would like to. You are likely to need pain medication for the first 2 day, and for as long as 2 weeks after the procedure. You also might have to endure a couple of nights in a hospital before they will send you home to recover.
