Clint Eastwood was born in 1930 in San Francisco. Clinton Eastwood Jr. was his original name. He dropped out of college in the early 1950’s trying a business related career and found himself an actor in B-movies until he got his first breakthrough in the TV series Rawhide. He went on to spaghetti Westerns starting with a Fistful of Dollars and a Few Dollars More. It wasn t until the third movie, The Good the Bad and the Ugly where he really made his mark. After that he got several starring roles including Where Eagles Dare also starring Richard Burton and Paint Your Wagon. He made another landmark turn in 1971 when he first played the character of Harry Callahan in Dirty Harry.

He continued to do Westerns in the 1970s including High Plains Drifter, Hang ‘Em High and The Outlaw Josie Whales. In the late 70’s he did a few comedy roles including every Which Way but Loose and Every Which Way You Can. In the late 80’s he started directing more movies.
