In the late eighties and very early nineties it was a huge deal if you had a corded cellular phone in your car. The personal cell phone had terrible reception and was so large that you couldnt exactly put it your pocket for convenient usage. To look back now and compare the cell phone industrys first amazing wonders with the sleek razor phones of today, the first cell phones were actually laughable, but of course we didnt know it.
