Water pollution isnt a large of an issue as it once was due to regulations from the government. We depend heavily upon the water from the oceans, rivers, and streams so it needs to be well taken care of. Even though there are processing plants for water before we drink it pollution can still be a problem.

We have to remember that huge amounts of aquatic life are found in these bodies of water. When the areas become polluted due to oil spills, chemicals, or other forms of waste it can destroy these ecosystems. The trickle down effect from this type of damage is more than what most people imagine.

There is plenty of water from these sources that makes its way to the soil as well. As a result it can destroy crops, destroy food that is being grown, and also destroy various types of trees and plants that are being grown there. It is very important for everyone to be aware of what they are contributing to this type of pollution.
